Job Title: IT Infrastructure Consultant (Linux)
Location: Mumbai (Andheri East)
Department: IT Infra
Employment Type: Full-Time (WFH)
Operation Hours: 8 Hours (Afternoon/Evening) – 5 days working (Sat & Sun – week off)
Position Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Consultant (Linux) handles assigned projects and technical initiatives efficiently and effectively. They must have strong technical expertise in Linux systems and related management tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively deploy and maintain Linux infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 up time.
- Engineering of solutions for various projects and operational needs
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Qualifications:
- B. E / B.Tech
Must have:
- 5 – 7 years’ experience in Linux administration and management
- In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS etc.
- Hands-on experience with databases on Linux
- Hands-on experience with VMWare and understanding of virtualization concepts
- Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
- Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP and SNMP
- Expertise in working with automation tools such as Ansible, Salt etc.
- Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Good learner and able to pick up new technology quickly.
Good to have:
- Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure such as Nutanix
- Experience and familiarity with storage solutions.
- Experience and familiarity with AWS.
