Interspence has entered into a long-term contract with a Major US-based Oil & Gas company to provide skilled IT resources and services under the direction of their IT leadership team. The company is transforming its business through heavy investments in technology around real-time data capture, Big Data platforms, in-memory databases, analytical engines, and elastic search services. There is also a significant push towards mobility, with most of the applications being converted into mobile apps. The company is also looking to move towards Elastic Search soon. Position Overview : We seek a talented Senior Elasticsearch Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Elasticsearch deployments. You will be crucial in architecting scalable and efficient search solutions that meet our clients’ diverse needs.
Work Mode: WFH
Timings : 3pm – 11pm OR 12pm -10pm (SAT-SUN WEEKLY OFF) – MUMBAI CANDIDATES PREFERRED
Responsibilities :
- Designing, building, and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters for optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable search solutions.
- Developing custom plugins and integrations to extend Elasticsearch functionality as needed.
- Monitoring cluster health and performance, and implementing optimization strategies to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Elasticsearch performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Conducting performance testing and tuning to optimize search latency and throughput.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience architecting and implementing large-scale Elasticsearch deployments in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Elasticsearch query DSL and API.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Expertise in deploying and managing Elasticsearch clusters on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Elasticsearch monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Elasticsearch Watcher, Grafana, Kibana).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and indexing strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Elasticsearch certification (e.g., Elastic Certified Engineer).
- Experience with other search and analytics technologies (e.g., Sold, Apache Lucene).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
